So, this place works well if you need a base in New York. The area itself is rough but the hotel is fine. There is free but limited parking at the hotel, and street parking in New York is free if you can find a space, but remember to move your car before 8am on a weekday! The rooms are small and pokey, but clean, and the beds are fine. The bathrooms are functional. There are no facilities apart from a fridge in the room, no coffee etc. There is a TV but I never use it. Wifi is adequate. Its pricier than it used to be but still on the reasonable side for New York. The subway to Manhattan is a block away and right next to a decent deli where you can get food and coffee at a very reasonable price.
I did not enjoy any breakfast because I had to check out before it was served. There were some refreshments available but not microwaves or refrigerator in each room,
We were disappointed.
The room and location were ok. Uncertain who primarily uses the hotel and why. It was quiet mostly. Had a “guard” in the lobby but front door propped open.
